Never A Dull Moment: Seven Random Thoughts

As the title says: Never A Dull Moment...

1. The Basement Carpet:
We were going to have carpet installed in the basement, so that Brighton can finally get his "manspace" (not to be confused with MySpace ~ LOL), in order. He's painted the basement. He started organizing some of his stuff. Last night we moved almost everything back upstairs, however, to facilitate the carpet installation. Well... it's raining... and the basement flooded. Despite the fact that the flooding issue had been "fixed". So... no carpet installation today. Not sure what we are going to do about it. I moved some of the stuff back downstairs, because our house looks like we just moved in. LOL ~ I've started doing laundry. Happy Saturday.

2. My New Computer:
I love my new shiny computer. However, it's got nothing on it. My old hard drive is still in "data recovery". *sigh*. I'm not stressed over it. Just bored. I need my files. I need to be able to function, and I feel as though I am just sitting here staring at a wall. (I am) Love my new keyboard though. LOL. The mouse is pretty sexy too!

3. Gamer Geek Withdrawl:
Well... I have cancelled my World of Warcraft account. I've been playing it for five years now... and I need my life back! LOL. I don't miss it as much as I thought I would, surprisingly... but I do need to fins some kind of RPG or MMOPRG game to help me unwind every so often... just not one that requires such a time commitment. Hail to the geeks. Long may they game.

4. Internet Junkie:
Between the laundry loads, I will probably be blogging, blog-hopping, and updating some of my networking sites. I just joined Ning.com... it's kindof like a Yahoo Groups, but with more of a Facebook look and feel (if that makes sense)... so I am pooking around there to see what other groups catch my interest.

5. American Idol LIVE Tour 2009:
Brighton and I caught the American Idol LIVE Tour 2009 at the Newark Prudential Center earlier this month. LOVE Adam Lambert! LOVE Allison Iraheta! Out of all the performers, those two definitely brought down the house!

6. Witchy Stuff:
Cleaned up and reorganized my altar last week. Added some fresh flowers and some new beaded necklaces. Happy Orishas.

7. Happiness:
Despite the clutter, and the few recent bumps in the road... things are good. Happy Happy Joy Joy. I wish Brighton wasn't working so many hours again, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm keeping the homestead together... just like Ma Ingles. LOL.
