I have had an exceptionally stressful and disheartening last two weeks. My computer died (was excepted... it was almost 10 years old! LOL), and then the hard drive on my replacement computer crashed. Unfortunately, ALL of my artwork and writings are on that drive, and the data recovery is going to cost me anywhere from $500 to $1,000. Ouch ~ but it's not an option... I need my stuff. Suck it up and deal.
I bought a replacement hard drive ($100) for the replacement computer, and a version of Windows Vista ($239). I couldn't get the replacement drive working on my own, and my stress levels were monumental this weekend. Brighton's friend, Vikki came over Sunday and gathered up all I had bought to get the replacement computer working, and took me computer shopping. For only about $350 more (I returned everything else)... I now have a brand new computer. No more headaches! No more stress! I'll probably have to spend the next day or so reinstalling my essentials... and it will be at least a month or two until I can afford to do the data recovery... but the sun is on the horizon. My stress faded almost instantly.
I should be back to my digitally-active self by the end of the week.
